Packing Team Leader Paid Position

Role Definition
To support the management team in the daily running of the packing line and ensure that all operational standards, customer demands, health and safety standards and KPI’s are achieved in the areas you are responsible for.
1.	Work towards achieving all key company goals and objectives by obtaining daily metrics.
2.	Have excellent knowledge of the process and machinery in the area and be able to train all operators to sufficient levels to maintain output and keep downtime to a minimum.
3.	Health and Safety 
4.	Adherence to Internal Procedures 
5.	Communications - Completion of daily shift reports as set out by Manager (e.g. PI sheets, OEE file, etc), Conduct required huddles / reviews
6.	Quality Standards -   Each Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that all product is to full customer specification and all possible food 
7.	Training – Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring training is completed in their area. 
8.	Plan Attainment 
9.	Manufacturing efficiencies – Team Leaders need to manage their area efficiently to ensure targets are met and unnecessary downtime is eliminated through good work practices. Product changeovers need to be quick and quality standards met.
10.	Team leader needs to drive the cost saving agenda within their area. They need to implement at least two cost saving projects on a yearly basis. 
11.	Yield variances – Team Leaders are responsible for the control of the material usage within the plant and ensuring that product and material waste is kept to a minimum. Controls, procedures and processes need to be in place to ensure product specifications are adhered too, while at the same time minimizing yield variances in the plant. 
12.	Team Leaders are responsible for the packaging returns lorry to be completed and usages file to be sent to Graphic.
13.	Deputize for Department Manager when required at daily review meeting, site visits, etc. 
14.	HR Metrics 

Special Skills:
Good leadership, communication, mathematical, problem solving and administrative skills.  Must have good understanding of KPI’s, be self-motivating and be able to organise and coach a team to meet targets.
